General Terms and Conditions for Online Ticket Purchases

I General Provisions

These Conditions for buying tickets online (hereinafter: Conditions of purchase) regulate the purchase of bus tickets on the websites of BAS - Belgrade bus station a.d. (hereinafter: BAS). BAS reserves the right to change these conditions. It is your responsibility to regularly check the General Conditions of online ticket sales on our website before purchasing.

II Online Ticket Purchase

Users of the station services (hereinafter: "User") can purchase a travel ticket on the website www.bas.rs no later than 30 minutes before the scheduled departure of the bus according to the registered timetable. By making an online purchase, the User agrees to the Purchase Terms and confirms that they are familiar with the General Terms of Business of the bus stations, "Sl. glasnik RS," No. 102/2020, and the General Terms of Intercity Transport, "Sl. glasnik RS," No. 45/2019.

After completing the purchase process on our website, you will receive your ticket via email. Since we do not deliver printed tickets purchased online, please ensure that you have provided the correct email address and that you have access to this email address. If you do not receive the email with your purchased ticket within 30 minutes, please fill out the complaint form on the Contact page by selecting I didn't receive a ticket or fiscal invoice by email from the drop-down menu.

Users who purchase a travel ticket on the BAS website are required to have it available on their electronic device and print it at the ticket machine at the departure station where the ticket is valid. If needed, the ticket must be shown to the BAS staff. It is the User’s responsibility to ensure that the ticket printed from the electronic device is clear and readable. Online purchases are limited to a maximum of 5 tickets per transaction.

The travel ticket is valid for the bearer.

In the case of a purchased return ticket on the BAS website, the User’s return access and boarding will be subject to the conditions of the station service provider from whose platform the bus departs.

When purchasing a ticket for a route involving crossing one or more national borders, the User is obligated to familiarize themselves with the entry and exit conditions of those countries..

III Transport Agreement

hen purchasing a travel ticket on the BAS website, the transport agreement is confirmed by sending the ticket or confirmation of successful purchase to the User's email address.

By purchasing the ticket, after the ticket and fiscal receipt have been sent to the User's email address, the User agrees to the transport agreement between the User and the carrier according to the carrier’s terms.

If the User has selected a discount when purchasing the ticket on the BAS website, they must present proof of eligibility for the discount category upon boarding the bus. If the User cannot prove they are part of the discount category chosen, they must pay the difference to the full ticket price. If the User refuses to pay the difference, the carrier reserves the right to deny the User access to the transport service.

IV Ticket Exchange and Cancellation

The User has the right to exchange the travel ticket or cancel their trip in accordance with the General Terms of Business of the bus stations. The User can exchange the ticket purchased on the BAS website for one of the departures of the same carrier exclusively at the BAS counter during the validity period of the purchased ticket.

If the User cancels their trip no later than two hours before the departure, BAS will refund the User for the unused ticket, retaining 10% of the ticket price as a cancellation fee.

  1. Procedure for Ticket Refund for Tickets Purchased Online but Not Printed at the Kiosk:
    • The passenger is obliged to submit a complaint request by filling out the complaint form on the Contact page, where it is necessary to select the reason for the complaint in the drop-down menu.
    • If the ticket did not arrive in the mailbox, it is necessary to check the Spam mailbox before filing a complaint.
    • Depending on the reason for the complaint, the passenger is obliged to attach the following:
          • If you choose I did not receive the ticket or fiscal receipt via email, the passenger is obliged to attach a bank confirmation of successful payment by card.
          • If you choose Return of the ticket/Refund of money, the passenger is obliged to attach a PDF fiscal receipt and a PDF ticket.
    • Once the passenger's request has been processed and approved, the refund will be made via bank transfer to the account from which the payment was originally made during the ticket purchase. The refund will be processed within the statutory period of 14 days.
  2. Procedure for Ticket Refund for Tickets Purchased Online and Already printed at the Kiosk:
    • In this case, the passenger may only submit a refund request at the BAS counter and is required to provide the staff with their ID card number as well as the printed online ticket.
    • Once the request has been processed and approved, the refund will be issued at the BAS counter.

Belgrade Bus Station will not refund for lost, stolen, or damaged tickets.

In case it is required to return the funds of the collected funds to the customer, in full or partially, regardless of the reason for the return, BAS shall return the funds exclusively through VISA,EC/MC and Maestro method of payment, which means that the Chip Card/Bank will refund requested amount to the customer’s account, following a request of the Merchant.

V Payment Procedure and Currency Conversion Statement

Ticket prices on our website are listed in dinars, including VAT. The total ticket price will be displayed once you define and select all details of your trip. This price includes the transportation cost to your chosen destination and the BAS station service fee.

All payments will be made in the local currency of the Republic of Serbia – dinar (RSD). The amount charged to your payment card will be expressed in your local currency through conversion at the exchange rate used by the card organizations, which may not be known to us at the time of the transaction. As a result of this conversion, there may be a slight difference from the original price listed on our website. Thank you for your understanding.

When transmitting payment card information, confidential data is sent over the public network in a secure (encrypted) form using SSL protocol and PKI system, as the most advanced cryptographic technology currently available. The security of data during the purchase is guaranteed by the payment card processor ChipCard a.d. Belgrade, with the entire payment process being handled on ChipCard’s pages. At no time is payment card data accessible to our system.

Online sales allow you to purchase tickets with discounts (children's, senior, student, etc.), in accordance with the carrier's offer.

VI Personal Data Processing

Belgrade Bus Station, "BAS" a.d. Belgrade, is committed to protecting the privacy of all its customers. We collect only necessary, basic data about customers/users and data essential for operations and informing users in accordance with the Law on Personal Data Protection, good business practices, and for the purpose of providing quality service. We offer customers the option to choose, including whether or not they wish to be removed from mailing lists used for marketing campaigns. All customer/user data is strictly protected and accessible only to employees who need it to perform their jobs. All employees of the company "BAS" a.d. Belgrade are responsible for adhering to privacy protection principles. A detailed privacy policy document can be read on our website.

VII Ticket or Reservation Validity Check

The User must present the travel ticket upon request by carrier staff or BAS staff for the purpose of verifying the ticket's validity or the discount achieved, depending on the selected category (seniors, persons with disabilities, students, etc.). A ticket purchased on the BAS website is valid only for the departure date and time specified on the ticket.

VIII Belgrade Bus Station is not responsible for:

  • Delays in bus departures/arrivals
  • The comfort, quality, and hygiene of the vehicles
  • The rudeness and negligence of bus carrier staff
  • Seating arrangements in the bus that do not meet passenger expectations
  • Cancellations due to force majeure
  • The safety of passengers' luggage
  • Last-minute seat changes for improved comfort for mothers with children, persons with disabilities, or elderly passengers
  • Waiting for a bus at the wrong stop
  • Any additional costs arising from the carrier’s general business terms, such as: baggage charges, pet transport, travel insurance, etc.
